True Vision Production (TVP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children and UNICEF Tanzania has organized a-three day seminar for health stakeholders, among others, editors, journalists and religious leaders to discuss on the impact and role of ‘Jiongeze Tuwavushe Salama’ campaign to reduce martenal mortality in the country.
The-so called ‘Jiongeze Tuwavushe Salama campaign, launched by Vice President, honourable Samia Sululu Hassan in Dodoma, November last year, aims at rescuing the lives of pregnant women and newborn children from losing their lives during and after childbirth.
Speaking on behalf of TVP as the main coordinators of the seminar, Lilian Revocatus says that all preparations for the crucial seminars have been completed.
“We have put everything in place to make sure all the invitees attend the seminar at the Regency Hotel in Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam”, she said.
True Vision in support of the ministry responsible for health (Health Promotion Unit-HPU) and UNICEF Tanzania have been undertaking special video documentaries, writing of newspaper articles and live streaming of the Jiongeze Tuwavushe Salama Campaign in Facebook and YouTube (and among social media platforms) to sensitize the general public on its role to reduce newborn and maternal deaths in the country.
